Oh Karen, although I haven’t been through what you have, I know that caring for a parent while juggling your own life and marriage is difficult. Mentally, physically, emotionally, but I wouldn’t trade the sweet times I had with my dad. Praise God for bringing you through this and to him. I’m so proud of what you were able to do to in advocating for your mom. Rejoicing with you in her accomplishments.
Thank you for your kind words. I have many regrets from the lack of a relationship with my mother. She deserved so much more and I was a very selfish daughter. I have been able to recover from most of my past but still hold a lot of guilt.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I know you are one busy woman! I admire your fortitude.
The sad truth is that we are all a number when it comes to humanity. That’s one reason why my faith is burning, because my God doesn’t see me as a number, but as Karen.
My path is taking me to wonderful places and my journey has only just begun.
I enjoyed reading this Karen. You are such a kind and loving daughter to care for your mother like that. Almost impossible to juggle everything and come through unscathed I think.
It amazes me time as time again how tragedy and suffering can bring a whole new person if we let it. Like a rebirth.

Victory in Jesus. We should all: “Cast (our) your cares upon the Lord, for he cares for (us) you.” 1 Peter 5:7
Thank you for the biblical reminder Phil.
I am so sorry this happened to your mom and that the american health care system is so awful.
Thank you for reading. It is very sad about my mom and I still grieve the time I could have had with her if she didn’t get the syndrome.
The healthcare system is broken but not necessary horrible. There is some good, but I feel like they pick the winners and losers.
Where there is good there is bad and vice versa. I think that we need to find the good in the bad and share from a place of hope.
This story really touched me.
Your vulnerability, kindness and values shine through.
It’s really sad regarding the system. They make you feel like a number.
It’s wonderful to hear about your new path ❤️
I’m happy you found yourself in the dark.

This is great story of wrestling victory off an impossible situation.
And how it led to your redemption, is just a display of how God can turn any situation for good.
"... For we know, that all this work together good..."
Your Mom is blessed to have you Karen!
Yes indeed God works miracles in the most dire of circumstances. 🙏❤️
