I saw something this week--"God makes us uncomfortable so we'll move." He may let us tighten the noose around our own neck, but he doesn't abandon us. He's waiting for us to call out to Him and surrender our will...to move back towards Him. The pain and destruction I went through, being turned to dust as you wrote, was necessary for me to move...to turn back to God and begin the transformation that has changed my life forever for the better. Thank you for sharing your story!

Bill thank you for listening. God had been very patient with me and purposeful in His plans for me. It’s hard to fully understand until we experience God’s loving wrath.

How brave to share your story Karen, it's a beautiful example of how the truth can set you free. I agree it's so important to listen to each other's story and not reactively judge. (Coincidentally, something I just wrote a note about). I believe we are all spiritual beings, whether we are believers or not, but the most important thing is to listen to each other's story. Thank you

Oh Karen. What courage you must have for telling your story! But then when we know this, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God Will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9; we know we can do anything. Thanks for sharing your life, so that others may change theirs.

Thank you Melanie. I think the courage comes when we start to investigate our past. I appreciate the restack!

It's essential to be a good listener. I enjoyed your story. True transformation from the shackles that held us bound in the past can only be received through Christ.

Yes, which is why people struggle with Christianity. For me it is a personal experience and the reason I share for unbelievers to understand the believer.

Humor and wit are not easy to achieve as a writer and Jeannette nails them!
